This is general - but this shared events calendar has both events, and calls for proposals from an international community of Ed. Tech people:

To VIEW:

The direct URL to the calendar is:

The ICAL address to subscribe to this calendar somewhere else, such as in Outlook, Eudora, Google Calendar etc. is:

To CONTRIBUTE:

Reply to me personally (nelsoncs@delhi.edu) with your email address that is associated with your calendar.google.com or any Google account so that I can add you as a contributor.

You will then receive a notice that you are added as editor of the Ed Tech Events google calendar, an invite to google calendar, or, when you log into calendar.google.com, you should see the Ed Tech events calendar in your list of calendars and you can easily add events to it.

Please begin each entry with either "EVENT" for conferences, events, etc. or "CFP" for calls for proposals.

I've been finding that the easiest way to get more stuff in there, is to go to events I already have in my other Google calendars and use the "More actions" pulldown menu to "Copy to Ed Tech Events" - and I've been putting in some calls for papers, events, etc. in there that way. Please be sure the event notice in the calendar contains a working URL somewhere in the entry for more information.

Best,
Clark

Learning and the Mind: The Power of Deep Learning
Fredonia's 10th Annual Teaching and Learning Conference
Monday, August 15, 2016
8:00 am - 4:00 pm

The 10th Annual Fredonia Teaching and Learning conference will focus on cultivating learning environments that strengthen student engagement and motivation. Higher education is undergoing monumental changes, including shifting student demographics and rapid technological change. Conference activities and presentations provided an opportunity to reflect on where we are, where we came from, and where we are heading. As institutions look for ways to remain competitive while continuing to provide students with quality, affordable educational opportunities, this year’s conference serves as an opportunity for scholarly exchange and discussion, with the ultimate goal of improving student engagement and learning across disciplines.

We invite proposals for presentations for the following tracks:

Student Engagement and High Impact Teaching Practices
Engaging Students in a Virtual World: Technology Inside and Outside the Classroom
New Media, Digital Literacy and Digital Citizenship
Creating Quality Learning Environments
Diverse Students and Learning Strategies
Applied/Experiential Learning: Service Learning, Internships, Study Abroad, and Beyond
Forging Links Between Local and Global Communities
Fostering Creative Learning and Students
