Dear COTE Community,

The deadline for TOEP campus registration is NEXT Friday (July 8th)!

We still need additional campuses to register to be able to run TOEP again for the upcoming academic year (2016-2017).

PLEASE share the information below with anyone at your campus who is in a position to make campus-wide decisions.

Campuses who are already registered include; University at Buffalo, Binghamton University, Brockport, Nassau, Stony Brook, & Maritime. We have positive feedback from a number of campuses, but we need 20 registrations by the end of next week.

Campuses may split registration fees between this FY and next FY using a PO or SUNY CPD points, if available. Campuses can also form partnerships among departments and units to build a campus culture around the integration of technology adoption and to fund TOEP registration fees. $1,000 (or less) covers all faculty and staff at an individual campus.

We are also seeking external non-SUNY campuses, so please share the announcement below with any colleagues and listservs that may be appropriate.

Thanks, Robin

Register your campus today for TOEP – a cost-effective professional development opportunity to enhance tech-infused pedagogy!

The SUNY Tools of Engagement Project (TOEP) ( http://suny.edu/toep ) is currently looking for additional colleges interested in bringing on-demand professional development to their faculty and staff. This is a proven program beginning its 5th year. Through TOEP, faculty and staff on your campus will participate in web-based discovery learning activities aimed at expanding tech-infused pedagogy in their courses. Participants will explore new technology to increase student engagement and success. They will also take part in an active online community where they will work alongside peers and reflect on how emerging technology tools may impact teaching and learning.

TOEP resources help instructors guide their students to communicate and collaborate using 21st-century tools and in the creation of digital stories and rich-media artifacts. TOEP is also a great way for instructors to experience badges first hand.

Find out what Professor Shawn Carter from SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology has to say about TOEP. Click this link to watch a short 2 min. video about her experiences ( https://sites.google.com/site/sunytoep/about/people-saying/shawn-ca... ).

TOEP is a SUNY-wide resource. We are now seeking campuses interested in participating in Phase 5 during the 2016-2017 academic year!

If you would like more information about this opportunity for cost-effective faculty development, contact Roberta (Robin) Sullivan < rrs@buffalo.edu > (716-645-0773).

To register your campus, go to: http://www.cvent.com/d/7fqc2k

Registration fees for SUNY campuses is just $900 for a campus ($1,000 for non-SUNY institutions). This enables all faculty and staff at your campus to participate in TOEP and earn professional development incentives.

Registration deadline for campuses is July 8, 2016.

Read what others are saying ( https://sites.google.com/site/sunytoep/about/people-saying ) and about the impact of TOEP (https://sites.google.com/site/sunytoep/about/additionalResources/st... ).

We look forward to hearing from you!
