I am a Technology Specialist and Instructional Designer in the Distance Education Department at Nassau Community College, one the nation’s largest community colleges with a student population of almost 20,000. Along with my team, I supporting more than 500 faculty and administrators on a year-round basis, who are engaged in NCC’s expanding online/distance learning programs. Prior to my position at NCC, I served as the Senior Systems Engineer at a national video conferencing firm, and the President of a more entrepreneurial enterprise that also provided state-of-the art video conference solutions to customers throughout the United States in areas that included telemedicine, online/distance education and corporate/governmental communications. My passion is in data-driven research regarding the most effective technologies to deliver information to students at all levels and more effective and efficient methods for teaching faculty how to use these technologies.
