Yikes, I can't believe that the course did not run this summer! I heard about student complaints...as one student put it into my course eval "She expects us to learn too much!" As I grow in my online pedagogy I will always be grateful for my roots! A course like yours or mine is asking for students to make a cognitive shift from teacher centered to learning centered pedagogy...from passivity to "learning is work" ...from working for a credential to deep learning...It's a fight to make this cognitive shift, but when the do the rewards are "priceless!"   Giving my first workshop at a international conference in CA this month, on online learning and critical thinking  - why of the discussion will be on student resistance...any suggested research....Oh I am only going to talk about CoI since it is what works for me.
