I've been teaching at SUNY Maritime for the past 10 years the last 6 have been online. I teach Maritime surveys (cargo, hull and yacht), expert witness, and maritime security. I recently attended a conference at MEBA in Maryland where I presented on blended classes and the need for cooperation amongst all institutions. I love online teaching but caution, it’s not as easy as it seems. Engaging students and being there for them is one of the most important parts of our commitment! I live in Charleston SC, where I have retired (part time) to be with my daughter and grandsons.
I will post more next week!
