Merlot.org is a gateway for educational materials appearing on the web. Created by the University of California, it over 20 Editorial boards, each with a group of Peer Reviewers that are the essence of MERLOT materials. As a Peer reviewer, you participate in the peer review process (described below). Each board has an Editor that triages each material in their discipline and assigns it to a reviewer in that discipline. This section describes both the Peer Review Processes and MERLOT Grape Camp
Merlot.org would very much like to utilize your skills as a Peer Reviewer.
If you teach or supervise those who teach, history, social studies, civics, humanities, we need you as a Peer Reviewer.
To become a Peer Reviewer for MERLOT, individuals must be an instructor in an institution of higher education and have:
* Expertise in the scholarship of their field
* Excellence in teaching
* Experience in using technology in teaching and learning, and
* Connections to professional organizations in their discipline.
We have some interesting submissions from the British Museum, JFK Library, Ken Burns. Etc. that should be used by teachers in the field.
Please contact me at any time.
